Sounds like you could have done with a rear brake.

I had my front brakes go metal to metal on top of the Grimsel two years ago

Made it back to Andermatt using rear brakes and a lot of lower gears. Luckily my bike shares brake pads with a few Kawasakis, and Gisler Moto just north of Erstfeld was able to get me back on the road :D For a few Francs. Or so...

AR12 was a very nice get together....... the only things missing were Tim and Micheal, hope to see you guys next year.

A special "THANK YOU" to Karza for making this a special trip for me, including a visit to the Red Bull Rind for a day ofr racing and a visit to the pit of the "World Champion sidecar team", the high light of my trip. =D>
Then there was the Hungarian Goulash cook out and the dog bite!!!! ......the sauna and nice folks at Simonhof ('llI visit there again next year and hope to get a ride in their sidecar)....... and many many other memorable moments spent with the nice folks from the Finnlandia Touring group.

Thanks Boss for making my 2012 trip to Europe so special. =D> =D>

Hi Paul!

It was a pleasure to meet you in Hungary and Brno..

Me and my son finally got home safely. We took it easy, on day in Dresden and another in Wolfburg. No hurry to nowhere.

Next summer, next trips. Have fun,

br Matti from Finland.

It's good to hear from you. Are things going well for your son after his surgery?

Received a speeding ticket for the west side of the Silvretta (Montafon) today. On the Tuesday morning as we went down the far side. Not a biggie, but I hope I'm the only one [-o<

"We"
you mean as we "all" went over, that you managed to find the only awake police man and annoy him so much that he took your picture.
Or is it that you were the only one with a number plate he could trace
I always knew you were the fastest in our group :P
We should have a whip round for you, taking one for the team

Now I know why Kr1s is leaning over further than me in the "Foto-Stelvio" pics
He made a Horlicks of his corner entry and was desparately trying to avoid the rock face at 4:29
