Lotus Exige

Postby sjw » Tue Sep 15, 2009 12:45 pm

Well I've mentioned my car on here before, but have held off posting to the thread until I had an appropriate picture.
I just HAD to go all the way to the Alps just to take this for the forum (honestly).
Recently returned from a fabulous trip, where I even saw Andermatt in full SUN !
Anyway "Where am I ?"

Very nice! How did you get on with ground clearance on hairpins? My Elise used to get its front numberplate ripped off regularly!

Damn nice looking car that.
Where are you? If that sign didn't make me think it was Switzerland I'd have said Col de la Croix De Fer in France. Otherwise I'm getting a feeling of somewhere near Diblarettes or Chateau d'Oex.

oooh close but no cigar yet (least I dont think so, but i dont know d'Oex)

Ground clearance wasnt a problem on this trip, but yes I too have wrecked the numberplate.
My main problem is that I am suffering excessive oversteer, so hairpins go a bit exciting at times, and having no passenger on this occasion meant I scared the odd oncoming cyclist/motorist, but had the power to get past and in quick

oooh even closer, but not quite correct. Mont Blanc is in the background

The Exige comes with a hard top which you clearly cannot take with you, but it is removeable and a S2 Elise soft top will fit in its place, then goes in the boot. Not a problem.
It is a subject for debate if you have a supercharged version, that the intake on the roof funnels air into the engine bay. Mine is a N/A version, so the intake does nothing

Ever thought of fitting a tow bar and trailer  (for the roof)
