Alpenrouten says it's doable, but on the Westside are some easy gravel patches. Very steep though, with tight hairpins I've read.
Is it better than Passo Cibiana?
I'll be coming from the South next summer towards Pieve di Cadore and was planning of taking Passo Cibiana. Now, if the Forcella Chaindolada is way better, than I very well might make a slight detour before arriving in Pieve

Giorgio, I'm planning of stayin overnight in Pieve, if it's good weather than it'll be on a camping, but if the weather sucks, i'd rather look for something with a roof above my head.
Do you know any cheap but halfway descent places in Pieve?
