The Three Kings Hotel Andermatt Highly recommended

Stayed there for three nights first week in July. Sebastian on reception is a star. Very helpfull re advice on passes, where to watch out for police traps etc. Secure garage for the bikes. We had the room with the balcony overlooking the stream....very clean and the pillows which seemed to be filled with feathers were the best Iv'e ever slept on. At CH180 a night not exactly cheap but then a holiday should have a few luxuries.
Breakfast was excellent by continental standards. Possible to stock up discreetly for the day ahead.
We got badly caught out in a torrential downpour mid way on the Susten pass but again Sebastian came to the rescue getting all the gear dried for us in the boiler house. Being closed season there was not a lot of life in Andermatt those few nights but you guessed it Seb pointed us accross the road to the City bar where the days antics were discussed and the next days run planned.
If you have a limited time to ride the passes around Andermatt and want all the comforts of home then I would'nt hessitate to stay at the three kings.
