6th Alpineroads.com-meet 2012 "Silvretta"

Events and "things to do" you think might be of interest. Biker rallies, races, or more general interest. Not exclusively biker-related.

Not wishing to jump on the bandwagon here, but Karza, if you arranged for the photo shoot to take place at 2am in the bar I think you'd have a lot better Finnish turn-out ;)

Looks like you may have quite a crowd! Sadly, I will not be able to attend this year. I can however, recommend a very good hotel nearby (approx 25km) if you run out of space where you are. Just zip on down to Pfunds and look for this sign. The blond will not be there though :)

All routes now sorted.
Channel crossings and all hotels booked.
I'll be riding with my Mutlistrada friend Alan.
He's dumped his Ducati meet in favour of AlpineRoads.
See you all in 79 days time 8)

i think WDW12 is the week before AR12 so there will be plenty of Ducatis about
I guess Alan will feel a bit cheap there if he doesn't have a Panigale
How many days did you say

Another 2am post steve ? ...will you be up on the laptop at that time at AR2012 ? good job our room is divided :)

got my plans sorted.......set off friday 6th take three days to go down ,taking in the Ardennes. north Vosges.. Black forest....and Lake Constanze on the way. in the honoured company of Pie man and Ballast. =D>

we leave the Hotel in Serfaus on friday the 13th  and take three days back on the same route (if we liked it)

cant wait.....fed up with the rain...

Trivia ........

I have found that Goldwing panniers being watertight can lift the rear wheel off the ground when going through water...resulting in the bike coming to a standstill with no traction.........you find out then who your friends are as some one has to wade out and sit on the back to get it moving again #-o

Our (me and Mikko, Heidi and Nina flies to Zurich) ferry leaves thursday the 5th of July to Stockholm. From Stockholm to Serfaus our route is something like this: Stockholm - Serfaus

So it seems that we are driving the same routes with you guys?

PS. Maybe you should buy a boat for water crossings... :-k

I'm also planning to ride thru Sweden and Denmark but few days earlier than Jukka & Mikko.
I have some ideas for the rest of the route and Black Forest is included...

Jukka, try this road while you are in Sweden.
Ride E4 around 47 km from Kungens Kurva, take road 218 south to Vagnhärad and after 2 km road 219 west to Nyköping.
Very nice old country road instead of boring E4.
