WHERE AM I ?

General chat, anything goes, off topic. That sort of thing.

WHERE AM I ?

Postby ste.j » Sat Dec 15, 2007 12:56 pm

Thought this might be a good time to start a new game.

Based on the ever popular, "Your best picture of a curve".
Maybe slightly easier though.

Reason being, I have no good pictures of curves.

So let,s begin with this one. WHERE AM I ?

It looks like the bit of the D2202 (?) running east/west near the south end of the Gorges du Cians.

Sorry Pinguin.

I think I may have an idea as to what you are saying.

Unless you log in as a member the picture is not shown. I have just gone in to the forum without logging in and no picture was shown. However, as soon as I logged in, there it was.
No idea why. I will leave that to the more technical members to sort out.

Pffog, any chance of reducing the size of your picture as it is quite annoying to have to keep scrolling back and forth to see the whole picture.

A clue to my picture, "northbound from the southside".

Call me slow Pinguin or even thick, but the penny has just dropped.

Very sharp of you.

I must have been out when I took the picture then.

.................

Looked good on my 22"as well, but I reduced it and removed the frame for better compatibility for the 13" monitors

A hint, the mountains are Swiss and are 2 country's, and 25 miles away from where the pic was taken.

I'll be looking for it in July on my way to Barcelonette.

Pic is from Schattenburg, in Feldkirk Austria, looking across Liechtenstein, to the Appenzell range in Switzerland.
